Description
Hammered Blue Copper Cuff.
It all started as a raw copper sheet, followed by mad hammering and folding – and another, absolutely lovely, oxidised copper cuff is ready for getting blue!
Once the shape was ready, I chucked it into a special bluing vapour bath. Some time passed (lots of sanding and rinsing in between, I want the patina to go as deep inside the metal as possible!), and then, the cuff achieved this lovely blackish with turquoise blue patina.
Some more sanding followed, then I covered it with a protective glaze, and voila – here it is, a beautiful and truly unique, handmade medieval cuff (well, medieval-style) is ready for your wrist!
This cuff is suitable for smaller wrists, it is roughly 6cm in diameter and 4.5cm wide. The cuffs’ opening is 3.6cm and it is slightly adjustable by gently squeezing it down or opening it a bit more.
